During the early morning hours, on May 29, 2020, at 4:39AM, the first of eleven earthquakes shook Yellowstone National Park. Some dirt, some rocks, and some lizards were moved around and some ant mounds were destroyed. But other than that, everything is a ok.

Compared to the earthquakes heard about in the movies, these earthquakes were rather small. And when I say “rather small,” I mean the earthquakes had magnitudes that ranged from 1.6 to 3.1. Those earthquakes are what the professionals call “Minor” because the earthquakes that are 3.9 or less are considered small fries.

Speaking of small fries, the first earthquake had a magnitude of 3.1 while the second earthquake, which happened a minute later at 4:40AM, had a magnitude of 2.5. There was also a 2 mile deep hole created, but that is really small bananas compared to the "Godzilla" like holes that the earthquakes with a 8.0 and greater magnitude create.

Due to Yellowstone National Park being what the park calls, “one of the most seismically active areas in the United States, those “really small bananas” are always popping up.

As a matter of fact, there have been 34 small earthquakes to shake Yellowstone National Park’s grounds in the last 30 days.
